This serene and beautiful retreat was once home to the Brigidine order of nuns in Coonamble, about 600 kms west of the Hunter. After relocation to the Hunter and careful reconstruction, the building now sits amidst magnificent landscaped gardens and vineyards. With only 17 rooms, Peppers Convent is ideal for small executive retreats.
Positioned with in the Pepper Tree winery, Peppers Convent is only a short stroll from Roberts Restaurant and Pepper Tree Winery and tasting barn.
Location
Peppers Convent is located in the Hunter Valley, approximately 2 hours drive north of Sydney on the F3 Freeway. Transfer options include, limousine transfers from Sydney or Newcastle, helicopter directly onto the lawans of Peppers Convent and minibus or luxury coach transfers. Scheduled airline services between Sydney and Maitland are available.
Catering Information
Peppers Convent Hunter Valley serves a full country breakfast each morning in the delightful sunroom . Enjoy fresh seasonal fruit, pastries, yogurt and fresh fruit juice. Each evening pre-dinner drinks and canapes are served in the Guest Lounge.
Located only a mere stroll from Peppers Convent is the renowned Roberts Restaurant. Including the 1878 National Trust listed Pepper Tree Cottage, Roberts has been described as the Hunter Valley's most beautiful dining room. And of course the food is divine. Chef Robert Molines offer superb delights from his vine-leaf fuelled wood fired oven and the menu is complimented by an extensive wine listing, showcasing the best of the Hunter Valley wines, and of course wines from the Pepper Tree Winery.

Facilities on-site include an outdoor pool, indoor spa and, tennis court and an endota spa at near by Peppers Guest House.
Beyond the peace and charm of Peppers Convent the Hunter Valley offers lots to see and do, including winery tours, antique shops and art galleries, bi-plane flights and ballooning.

Conference facilities include The Chapel at Robert's Restaurant with seating for up to 45 delegates and the Peppers Convent Dining Room with seating for up to 7 delegates boardroom style. Meeting rooms facilities include VHS video and monitor, overhead projector, flipchart and whiteboard.
