The hotel completed a $65 million dollar development project in 2003 which involved the construction of a new Residences tower - offering apartment style suites, the expansion of the hotels banqueting and conference facilities and the opening of a luxury health spa and fitness centre Spa at the Hyatt.

Catering Information
Conference and Banqueting areas have been expanded to host up to 650 guests banquet style(subject to staging requirements and function room layout).Alternately there is the capacity to hold up to 37 exhibition booths enabling the hotel to host conferences of up to 300 delegates with great ease.Car parking is available in the hotel and in adjacent external carparking facilities close to the hotel. This makes the hotel one of the largest inner city residential conferencing hotels in Auckland.
Recreational Facilities
Guests now have access to Spa at the Hyatt - a health club, lifestyle and fitness centre with a fully equipped gym, 25m heated pool, jacuzzi, steam rooms and sauna. Beauty treatments utilising local New Zealand and international products are also available. The facility is further enhanced by the addition of 6 spa treatment rooms, offering a range of treatments.

Business Facilities
The hotel offers a comprehensive business centre as well as the the Regency Boardroom situated on the 12th floor of the Regency Tower. The purpose built 6.3 m long jarrah board table accommodates up to 18 people, each with a dedicated high speed internet connection. The board table also has the capability to connect power and phone outlets, vga and audio connections. Inbuilt audio visual equipment accompanying the board table facilities is available.Eighteen state of the art, ergonomically friendly titanium framed board room chairs complete the business end of business end of the room. Adjacent to the board table is a luxuriously comfortable seating arrangement decorated in understated elegant tones ideal for informal discussions and coffee breaks.
Accolades
Hyatt Regency Auckland has been rated by the readers of the prestigious US publication Travel and Leisure (September 2) as one of the world's best business hotels.In the magazines 2004 World's Best Awards survey, T+L readers who had traveled for business were asked to rate top hotels on how well they cater to business travelers. The properties listed earned the highest score in major cities around the globe. The Travel and Leisure award follows on the heels of two other awards for the hotel. In March 2004, the annual Readers Choice Awards poll of the iconic international travel magazine Condé Nast placed the hotel in the Condé Nast 10th Annual Traveller Gold List. Closer to home, CIM magazine awarded thehotel the CIM Accolade for high standards of service to the convention industry.
