Venue Highlights

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) offers the ultimate event experience. With a philosophy of maximum flexibility, the GCCEC effortlessly melds business tourism within a resort location offering delegates a fabulous experience whilst at your event. Your delegates will appreciate the resort ambience with natural light permeating throughout the center bathing the interior with an instant feel-good atmosphere.

The centre is exclusive in its size and is purpose design. The Arena seats 6,000 while the centre can cater for conventions for up to 6,000 delegates and banquets for up to 3,500 delegates.

It features a 3,000 square metre exhibition hall and total 7,000 square metres. There are 15 meeting rooms and a 40 square metre open plan Conference Secretariat.

Location

GCCEC is conveniently located in a highly visible location on the Gold Coast Highway at Broadbeach, the GCCEC is linked by a covered walkway to the award winning Conrad Jupiter’s Hotel and Casino Complex. A monorail, running frequently, services the Grand Mercure Hotel and the Broadbeach shopping and restaurant precinct. An extensive range of other accommodation, including major hotels and serviced apartments, all lie within a few kilometers of the Centre.
Only a short walk from the GCCEC, is the surf beach and the chic Broadbeach alfresco dining precinct featuring over 60 pavement cafes and restaurants. Two major shopping centres are also within walking distance and just a few minutes to the north is Surfers Paradise, a major tourist attraction of the Gold Coast.

Catering Information

All menu's are designed by our in-house chefs and can reflect themes, table decorations and centerpieces. These are limited only by your imagination. We will assist you in realising your desires to promote your company's product and take your guests' breath away. Our attention to detail ensures product consistency is maintained from a morning tea for a small meeting, to an intimate dinner, to a feast for 2,500.

Service points strategically located around the Centre promote fast and efficient service by the friendly and professional staff and flexible preparation satisfies most cultural and dietary requirements.

Technical Facilities

Staging Connections is the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre’s in-house support service for audiovisual, technical and event production services. We can provide everything you need to give your audience professional, memorable communication.
We don’t believe in a formula approach to events. We prefer a personal approach, taking the time to find out about you, your guest, and the impression you want them to leave with. Then we present tailored production concepts that bring your message alive in indelible style.

Accolades

The GCCEC was recognised with the coveted Meeting & Events Australia (MEA)
‘Event of the Year’ 2004 national award for our opening dinner last year on 29 June. GCCEC progressed to the national awards after winning the MEA Queensland Event of the Year at the State Awards.

The national award recognises GCCEC as a leader in producing and operating first-class Australian events, meetings and venues. It sets the GCCEC as an industry benchmark for gala banquets amongst Australian venues.
