Venue HighlightsThe Paddington Town Hall was designed in a Municipal Rennaissance style exhibiting typical Victorian grandeur. The Govenor of NSW, Lord Jersey opened the Hall in 1891.
The site for the Paddington Town Hall is adjacent to the Victoria Barracks and was built on top of the ridge to allow the tower to dominate the surrounding neighbourhood. Paddington is still one of the most intact Victorian residential precincts in the world.
This landmark venue boasts a magnificent Grand Hall and an elegant pre-function bar and consists of charming balconies with views of the city skyline and the Paddington district.
The venue features a gracious entrance, an expanse of polished floors and 15 metre high ceilings ideal for large scale dinners, exhibtions, conferences and concerts. The Caterer will be required to pay a $2000.00 Kitchen Bond at the time of the event confirmation. The refund of the bond is in accordance with clause five of the Terms and Conditions of Hire.
A seven and a half percent (7.5%) commission on all caterers charges (including food, beverage, staff and equipment) and is payable to Council 14 days prior to the event. A
The Caterer will be required to attend a production meeting prior to the event to be briefed by the venue staff and to discuss individual requirements.
Technical FacilitiesBehind the fascinating facade of Paddington Town Hall is a modern, well-equipped venue, with a Sico stage, basic sound and lighting infrastructure. If you require additional facilities or equipment, these can be arranged for a nominal charge.
