Combining contemporary finesse with classic 19th-century grandeur, the Immigration Museum offers a distinctive venue for a wide range of corporate and private events… and it’s nestled right in the heart of the CBD!

Once alive with the sounds of newly-arrived immigrants and traders, and pungent with the smells of goods from across the globe, the historic Old Customs House is now a canvas on which you can create your own exclusive celebration.

Originally opened in 1876 and designed on the model of an Italian renaissance palazzo, the building was brilliantly restored in 1998, when it re-opened as a museum celebrating

Location

A sigh of quiet relief in the midst of a bustling city, the Courtyard offers guests a versatile space for performances, gatherings, ceremonies, photographs or hearty outdoor rejoicing. Intimately connected with the alfresco feel of the Atrium – and opening out from it – this contemporary garden area includes the Museum’s Tribute Garden and its elegant water-feature, as well as a small amphitheatre setting.

Charming by day and magical by night, the Courtyard is a space for all reasons and seasons.
